Editor, I personally would like to take a few minutes to express my thanks to Liberty Regional Medical Center CEO Mr. Scott Kroell and the hospital’s emergency room team for the outstanding medical care my son-in-law received on Friday, Sept. 10.
My 48-year-old son-in-law had a massive heart attack that would have taken his life had it not been for the excellent and immediate medical attention he received in the emergency room. My son and my son’s finance’ brought my son-in-law into the ER and the staff wasted no time taking care of his critical needs.
He was transported by EMS to the cath unit at St. Joseph’s in Savannah. Once his medical needs were attended to by Dr. Gainey, my son-in-law told our family that Liberty Regional did everything right. He commended the staff for an outstanding job.
I would also like to commend the EMS team that transported him to St. Joseph’s. We were later told that a lot of medical attention was given in order to keep my son-in-law alive during the trip to Savannah.
Many Liberty County residents have told me the LRMC medical staff saved the lives of many heart attack victims who were taken to the emergency room before they were transported to Savannah. Many area residents have family members who would not be alive today without the attention received in the emergency room at Liberty Regional.
We are so blessed to have such a caring, knowledgeable health care team right here in our community. My family supports Liberty Regional and we believe we have some of the finest medical and professional staff available in the state of Georgia. Thank you, Liberty Regional, for all you do to take care of people in the surrounding communities.
