Tribute to a child taken too soon

Editor’s note: This tribute was published with the permission of Lily’s mom, Francis Brazwell.

Dear Mommie and my brother Brandon,
I will miss you both so very much. I’m sorry I couldn’t stay with you.
Can you imagine, God missed me so much He wanted me back home with Him.
Along the way on my journey to be with you, a very bad sickness entered my body. So you see, Mommie and Brandon, instead of pain and suffering of this disease, God gave me my life back with Him.
Mommie, I saw your beautiful face and heard your voice and know how much love you have for me. And Brandon, my brother, I could feel your touch on Mommie’s tummy and heard your words to me from within where I layed.
Remember me always. We will see each other again one day. I know this is a sad time for you, Mommie and my brother Brandon, but remember I’m with God and I’ll be spending Christmas in Heaven. So you may see a special star that twinkles in the sky and know it’s me, Baby Lily Anna, watching over you.

Love,
Baby Lily Anna Brazell

PS. The loss of my grandson’s baby sister inspired me to write this letter in her name after she died three hours after her birth to cancer. May she rest in the arms of angels. 11-5-07.
