Wake up America, the NAU is coming

Editor,

I wonder how many of our concerned citizens are aware of a plan moving forward right now to erase the borders of our great Unites States and merge us into a North American Union with Canada and Mexico. It is time we wake up, learn what is going on, and let our elected officials know that we do not buy the plan.
On March 23, 2005, President Bush, then Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin, and then Mexican President Vincente Fox met in Waco, Texas, for what was called a summit. Out of that meeting came an agreement called the Security and Prosperity Partnership.
The new North American Union will develop from that agreement. According to the agreement, the three nations will  “implement a border-facilitation strategy to build capacity and improve the legitimate flow of people and cargo at our shared borders” — in essence, erase borders of our country and merge with Canada and Mexico. Current plans call for the agreement to be fully implemented by the year 2010.
The cornerstone of this plan is a NAFTA Superhighway — a 10-lane limited access road parallel to I-35. This road will require the taking of 500,000 acres of land, much of which will be taken by the use of eminent domain.
Kansas City Smart Port will literally be the first checkpoint on the road, which will run from Columbia through our heartland. Mexico will have a facility at Kansas City they claim will be Mexican sovereign land.
Please let our elected officials know you do not want a North American Union but a sovereign United States of America. A new flag is planned for the NAU and a new currency, the Amero.
When I was young we used to sing a little ditty that said “Save your Confederate money boys, the South’s gonna rise again.” I hope my grandchildren will not sing “Save those greenback dollars, boys. The United States will rise again!”
