ATHENS — The 20th-ranked Georgia football team held a two-hour, full-pads workout on Monday at the Woodruff Practice Fields.
Coming off an open weekend, the Bulldogs strapped on the pads a day earlier than usual as they continued preparations for Saturday’s game in Jacksonville against ninth-ranked Florida. The Bulldogs are 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the SEC, while the Gators are also 5-2 and 3-2. It rained intermittently during Monday’s practice, but not enough to thwart the Bulldogs’ plans.
“I’m glad the weather held off,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said. “I thought we had a really good day of practice. We were able to get done the things we needed to get done. It’s important that we practice like want to play on Saturday.”
CBS will broadcast the Georgia-Florida match-up with kickoff slated for 3:30 p.m. ET. All Georgia games are broadcast live on the Bulldog Radio Network on AM 750 WSB in Atlanta and on both 106.1 FM and 960 The Ref in Athens. The radio audio also can be heard worldwide on both georgiadogs.com, the official Web site of UGA Athletics, and on XM Satellite Radio.
