ATHENS — Eight of Georgia’s regular-season meets will be televised in 2008 along with the weekly Gym Dog Show being aired on FSN South and CSS, it was announced this week.
“It is exciting for our team and our sport to get so much exposure,” head coach Suzanne Yoculan said, “and it is especially great in a year like this where we have the NCAA Championships in our home arena. We are going for our fourth straight national title and couldn’t be happier to have as many fans as possible be able to follow us through our season.”
The Gym Dog Show will be aired to a regional audience on Fox Sports Net South on Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. and again on Fridays at 11 a.m., beginning Jan. 24 the week following the Florida meet and before the home-opener against LSU. It will be shown on CSS as well on Fridays at 5:30 p.m.
Georgia also will have two regular-season meets televised by FSN South on tape-delay including its match-up at Alabama and a home contest against Arkansas. Fox Sports will air the Southeastern Conference Championships being held in Duluth, at the Gwinnett Center as well. Additionally, the Gym Dogs’ meet at Florida and against LSU will be shown on ESPN2.
CSS will air four more Gym Dog meets, including N.C. State, Auburn, Kentucky and UCLA.
