Hinesville FD

plans MDA golf tournament

 

The Hinesville Fire Department will host its annual golf tournament Aug. 28 at the Cherokee Rose Country Club to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The tournament will be a four-person team, best-ball scramble. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, along with individual awards for the longest drive and nearest to the pin shots. In addition, Hinesville Ford will award a 2010 vehicle to anyone who gets a hole-in-one on a specific hole, to be named later.

The entry fee per person is $50. The department is accepting donations for door prizes, and hole sponsorships are available for $100. For more information on entering the tournament, donating a door prize or sponsoring a hole, call 876-4143.

Morning Youth Bowling League

 

The Fort Stewart Youth Bowling League will register bowlers, ages 3-18, from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Sept. 11, at Marne Lanes on Fort Stewart. Bowlers must register on Sept. 11 to ensure placement.
