Taekwondo/martial arts classes

The St. James Sports Center will offer taekwondo and martial arts classes in February. Registration is under way and is open to all ages. Classes will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays. YMCA Ultimate
Fitness Challenge

The liberty County YMCA is taking registration for the Ultimate Fitness Challenge which begins Jan. 24. It is open to everyone ages 16 and up. Available time slots are 5:30 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. For more information call 368-9622.

Rebel Clash

The Rebels Clash of Champions tournament is scheduled for March 19-20 at the St.

James Sports Center in Holmestown. The tournament is for 15U boys teams only and players must be 15 to participate. All teams must have both a dark and light uniform. Registration is $150 per team and closes March 11. Medals awarded to first and second place teams. Each team is guaranteed two games in the double elimination tournament. Tip off is at 9 a.m. March 19. Admission is $5. Tournament directors are Ernie Walthour and David Linderman. Call 980-4559 for more information.

All-Stars

Scott’s All-Stars, an academic/AAU basketball program, will have tryouts Feb. 12-13 at the YMCA in Hiinesville. Tryouts will also be held Feb. 19-20 at 3 p.m. at Jenkins High School. The program will field two elementary teams, one middle school team and one high school team. Soccer

The Hinesville Soccer Association is registering for spring soccer from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21 at the Shuman Recreation Center in James Brown Park. Open to age groups 4-and-under and 19-and-under boys and girls. There is a nonrefundabe $25 fee that goes toward season dues. Bring a copy of player’s birth certificate to verify age.
