LCRD cheer camp in July

The Liberty County Recreation Department will conduct a cheer camp from 5:30-8 p.m. July 11-14 at Stafford Pavilion. The camp is open to children ages 7 and older, and the cost is $30 per camper. Registration is from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays at the LCRD office. For more information, call 876-5359.

Celebrate at Tybee

Tybee Island will host its annual fireworks display starting at 9:30 p.m. July 3 at the Parker Pier on Tybee’s south beach area. On the morning of July 4, visitors are welcome to participate in an annual Beach Sweep cleanup, organized by the Tybee Beautification Association. Volunteers interested in helping with the Beach Sweep should meet at the Tybee Island Pavilion at 6:30 a.m. Go to www.tybeevisit.com.
