Hank White Scholarship

The 7th annual Henry “Hank” White Golf Tournament is scheduled to begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Aug. 6, at the Cherokee Rose Golf Club in Hinesville.
The tournament format is a four-man scramble and prizes will be awarded for first through third place, longest drive, longest putt, straightest drive and closest to the pin on holes 3 and 17. Participants have a chance to win two new cars for a hole-in-one.

HAPfan golf tournament

The third annual HAPfan Golf Tournament will take place Saturday at Cherokee Rose Golf Course in Hinesville.  It will be a 4-player scramble. Admission is $60 per person or $240 for a team of four.
Proceeds from the tournament will go to providing scholarships to high school graduates from Liberty and Long counties.
Registration can be sent to estafford@libertyregional.org or paid on the day of the tourney. Tee off is at 1:30 p.m.  For more information, call Elise Stafford at 545-3392.

Liberty YMCA flag football

Flag football registration is under way at the Liberty County YMCA for ages 3-13. The season begins Aug. 13.The Y will host a community open-house from 1-5 p.m. Sunday. New memberships will be waived the $100 joining fee.
