FPCA softball camp coming up

 

 

First Presbyterian Christian Academy will host a softball camp for FPCA students interested in playing softball during the upcoming school year. Campers will be instructed by FPCA varsity players, parents and volunteers. All FPCA softball players are encouraged to attend this camp. The free camp will be at James Brown Park softball field, batting cages and weightlifting center. The camp will cover the fundamentals of practice routines and drills. The team’s schedule, future camps and clinics and uniform requirements will be reviewed at camp.

Camp is from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. Players should bring their own equipment and refreshments. For more information, call 877-0441.

 

Junior Blue Tide Football Camp scheduled

 

 

The Junior Blue Tide Football Camp for children ages 8-13 will be July 12-14. Camp times are 8:30 a.m.-noon, and registration costs $25. Age exceptions may be made for younger campers with permission from head Coach Kyle Wilson. For more information, call Wilson at 424-8197.

The Bradwell Lady Tigers softball team will continue conditioning for girls in grades eight through 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Bradwell Field. Team tryouts are 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2. Girls must have a current sports physical to participate. Henry "Hank"

White Golf

Tournament

 

The sixth Annual Henry "Hank" White Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Cherokee Rose Country Club in Hinesville. Proceeds from the event will benefit college-bound seniors, young adults and active-duty military in the community.

Applications are available at Cherokee Rose Country Club and at Taylor’s Creek Golf Course on Fort Stewart. The application deadline is July 30. For more information, call Derrick Taylor at 977-6714 or Hank White at 663-0827.
