LCRD Aquatics programs

Open swim
The Liberty County Recreation Department swimming pool is in Liberty Independent Troop Park on Highway 84 in Hinesville. It is open daily from
2-6 p.m.
Daily admission is $2 per person. The pool may be reserved for private parties. 

Pool family nights
Monday and Wednesday evenings are family nights.  Hours are 7:15-9 p.m. and admission is $2 per person.  It is open to parents and children only.

Swimming lessons
Swimming lessons for children ages 4 and older will be offered at the LCRD Pool in two-week sessions (Monday-Thursday) at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. June June 20-30 and July 11-21.  
Each class is 50 minutes per day. The cost is $25 per participant for the two-week session. A limited number of slots are available. 
There will be two sessions for infants and toddlers at 10 a.m. Saturdays. The first session is ongoing and the second is July 9-30. The cost is $25.

Pool rentals
The pool may be reserved for exclusive use by individuals or groups. 
The fee is $50 per hour for 25 people or less, $75 per hour for 25-50 people, $100 per hour for 50-75 people and $125 per hour for 75-100 people. 
Reservations must be made through the LCRD office.

Aerobics with Rocky

Registration is under way at the Liberty County Recreation Department for a new session of aerobics with Rocky. 
Classes are each Tuesday and Thursday in June.
Classes are from 6-7 p.m. at the Shuman Center. The cost is $15 and a limited number of slots are available. Call 876-5359.

AUSA golf
tournament

The Association of the United States Army is hosting its third annual Golf Scramble at 9:30 a.m. June 17 at Taylor’s Creek Golf Course.
The event is a four-person scramble and limited to the first 25 to register. Cost per team is $160, hole sponsorships are available for $100 and tee-box sponsorships are $50.
Prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place teams; longest drive; closest to pin; and hole-in-one. For more information, call Jerry Kimble at 506-0226 or email jerry.kimble@baesystems.com.
