Take your Daughter to the Range Day

Mission Essentials in Hinesville host its inaugural Take Your Daughter to the Range Day. The event will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at 918B Hollywood Drive in Hinesville. The event is open to everyone, but the focus will be for girls ages 6-18. There will be a drawing for a pink .22-caliber rifle and other giveaway prizes, snacks and promotional items from different distributors. For more information, call (912) 408-2006.

Savannah Derby Devils double-header June 16

The Savannah Derby Devils will have a fundraiser and canned-good drive during their doubleheader at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 16 at the Savannah Civic Center.

Those who bring at least one canned good item for donation to America’s Second Harvest will receive $1 off their ticket. That night’s raffle proceeds will go to America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.

Tickets are available through the Savannah Civic Center website at savannahcivic.com and box office. Admission ranges from $2 to $16 per ticket. Discount tickets are available for children, seniors, students, military and groups of 10 or more. The event includes live music from Portman’s New Horizon’s Band and an appearance by the Savannah Junior Roller Derby.

Scott’s All-Stars to host Father/Son Day at Y

Scott’s All-Stars will host a Father/Son's Day program from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the YMCA in Hinesville on June 23rd.

Guest speakers will discuss the special bond between father and son. The program is free and open to the public.

After the program Scott’s All-Stars will host a two-on-two basketball tournament. The fee to participate in the tournament is $10. First and second place winners will be awarded trophies. LCHS football camp planned for June

Liberty County High School is hosting its annual football skills camp for ages 7-15 from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. June 25-28.

The fee is $60 if registered and paid before June 20. The fee goes up to $70 after June 20.

Jiu Jitsu Training

Wolf Pack Jiu Jitsu training is open for ages 8 and older. Classes for ages 8-12 are 5:30-6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; ages 13 and older are from 6:30-7:30 p.m. For more information, call Wolf Pack Jiu Jitsu at 368-1123.
