The 25th Annual Hunting Heritage Banquet will be sponsored by the Coastal Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation on Thursday at The Clubhouse in Rye Patch.

Lady 76ers
holding tryouts
The Lady 76ers, an AAU competitive girls’ basketball team, will have tryouts from 2-3 p.m. Saturday. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. The tryout is open to ages 10-16. The fee is $10. The tryout will include fundamental training, agility and competitive games. Participation forms must be completed and turned in before tryouts. • 6 p.m.: Student 3-point shooting contest.
• 7 p.m.: NFL vs. area teachers/coaches basketball game

Bradwell Institute is building a wall of fame featuring former BI Tiger athletes who played sports on the college level. Tiger coach Jeff Miller and his assistants have a partial list of athletes, but they’d like even more. Names and photos are being gathered. To submit a name or photo the following criteria must be met:
The former athlete must have graduated from Bradwell Institute. The student athlete must have gone on to play sports at the college level and must have graduated from college.

16U Rebels: 2-5 p.m. March 6, at Bradwell Institute
17U Rebels: 5-7 p.m. March 14, at St. James Sports Center.

The Dolphin Project to hold training
The Dolphin Project will have a two-hour training session at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at Armstrong Atlantic State University, Savannah, University Hall, room 157. Potential volunteers will learn to conduct wild dolphin research in Georgia and lower South Carolina waters.
The Dolphin Project needs volunteers, captains and their boats, photographers and team leaders to record data on dolphins living on the coast. TDP, an all-volunteer, nonprofit research and education organization, was created more than 20 years ago.
No reservations are required to attend the free training. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
