YMCA hosting middle school lockdown

 

The Liberty County YMCA will host a middle school lockdown from 6 p.m. tonight until 8 a.m. Saturday. It’s open to children ages 11-14 and the fee is $10 per child. An additional $5 (cash only) per child is required for pizza, and concessions will be sold until midnight. The children will participate in sports tournaments, swimming, game consoles, live music and a dance competition. Call 368-9622 for information.

The South Georgia Fury girls fast pitch travel softball team is looking for players for its 14-and-under and 12-and-under teams.

Liberty Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic

The fourth annual Liberty County Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic will be on April 23 at Cherokee Rose Country Club in Hinesville. Fees are $200 per four-person teams or $60 per individual player. Hurricane Junior Golf Tournament

The Golden Isles Junior Open is April 10-11 at Sea Palms Golf Resort on St. Simons Island. The registration deadline is March 31. The regular entry fee is $180 and the sibling rate is $135.
