 Hurricanes meeting
The Hinesville Hurricanes semi-pro football team will hold a team meeting at 1 p.m. on March 8 at the National Guard Armory on Highway 84 in Hinesville. All returning players and potential players are asked to attend the meeting to discuss the upcoming season. Registration for the team is $125, which may be paid in full or half at the meeting. Super Skills Day Camp
 The Georgia Coastal Youth, Inc. will present a Super skills camp at Savannah State university from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on March 15. The camp is open to players in the class of 2008 up to 2012.  This year’s session will be conducted by Terry Boykin of Playmaker Basketball Academy and will be attended by national scouts and recruiters. Federation banquet
National Wild Turkey Federation Hunting Heritage Banquet Will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday March 13 at the National Guard Armory in Hinesville. There will be dinner, silent auction, live auction, door prizes, and numerous raffles. Tickets are $50 advanced and $65 at the door for single or $80 & $95 for couples. Bulldogs tryouts
The Bulldogs YBOA tryout for players ages 10-13 begins at noon, the session for players ages 10-17 will be held at 2:30 p.m. and the next session second session for ages 14-17 starts at 3 p.m. ends at 5:30 p.m. All sessions will be held on March 29 at Ft Stewart Youth Center. The parents must fill out a YBOA parental consent form prior to tryout. All players must be registered with the youth center. LCRD Spring Camp
Registration is under way at the Liberty County Recreation Department for the 2008 Spring Camp that will be during spring break, April 7-11.  This program is for children from kindergarten up to age 13 and will feature field trips and daily activities at Shuman Recreation Center.  Hours are 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. The cost is $75 per child.  A limited number of slots are available.  The LCRD Office is in Shuman Recreation Center at James Brown Park.  Additional information and on-line registration are available at www.lcrd.net or call 876-5359.

Baseball, softball
officials needed
The Liberty County Recreation Department is accepting applications for officials and scorekeepers for T-ball, softball and baseball.  All programs start in April and continue into June.  Applications may be obtained at the LCRD Office in Shuman Recreation Center, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.  Call 876-5359 for additional information.

LCRD youth baseball, softball and T-ball
The Liberty County Recreation Department is accepting registration for youth baseball, softball and T-ball programs.  The deadline for registration is March 21.  These programs are for boys and girls ages 4 and up.  Participants must be at least 4 prior to May 1. 
Leagues and teams will be formed in Midway, Riceboro, Walthourville and Gum Branch if there are a sufficient numbers of participants.
Volunteer coaches are needed for all teams.  Training will be provided.

LCRD adult softball
