Bombing Range


Area residents concerned about the proposed expansion of the Townsend Bombing Range in Long County have a few extra days to express their feelings. Savannah Chain sets pro combine and college showcase


The Savannah Chain Baseball Academy will host a pro combine and college showcase Saturday, Nov. 6. Play will be at the Chain Field in Garden City and Grayson Stadium in Savannah. Registration starts at 9 a.m., workouts run from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and scrimmages will be from 2-5 p.m. Go to or call Mike Alvarez at 912-313-1556 for information.
