YMCA basketball registration

 

Registration for the YMCA’s basketball program is open until Dec. 15 or until all team slots are full. Basketball practice begins Jan. 8. The YMCA strives to help young people learn about the importance of staying active and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. Scott’s All-Stars Chess Tournament

 

Registration is underway for the first annual Scott’s All-Stars chess tournament. The cost is $20 per player and the tournament will be Saturday, Oct. 30. Cherokee Rose Golf Course

Cherokee Rose Golf Course is offering the following specials until November:

• After 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday (excluding holidays): 18 holes with a cart is $19. Nine holes with a cart is $15.

• After 3 p.m. on Saturdays: 18 holes with a cart costs $25. Nine holes with a cart is $15. For more information, call 876-5503.

Grow A Girl Network golf tourney

 

The Grow A Girl Network golf tournament is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Cherokee Rose Country Club in Hinesville.

Hole sponsorships are $100 or more and includes advertising on the course. Registration for golfers costs $50 per person or $200 for a four-person team. The tournament is open to men and women.

The event will support the Grow a Girl Network’s building fund for a new location in Parkway Plaza at 445 E.G. Miles Parkway, suite 203, Hinesville.

Grow a Girl Network, a nonprofit, mentors and supports area youth.
