Golf tourney for Brandon H.

A golf tournament to raise funds for Brandon Hellgren, a 7-year-old who has been diagnosed with leukemia, will be Oct. 8 at Cherokee Rose Country Club. The John E. Smiley Jr. “Jay Bird” Memorial Golf Tournament has established Team Brandon to help support Hellgren, the son of Bradwell Institute baseball coach Rhett Hellgren.
All proceeds will go to help cover costs associated with Brandon’s care. Entry costs are $50 per player or $200 per team. Hole sponsors also are sought.

Scott’s All-Stars workouts

Scott’s All-Stars is currently offering fundamental workouts every Sunday from 3-4 p.m. at the YMCA. These workouts are free for members and $10 dollars for nonmembers.  For more information, call Marcus Scott at 912-655-4371 or Darrell West at 912-321-9945.

Belly dancing at the YMCA
