ATHENS — Officials say a new video board will be in place at Sanford Stadium when the University of Georgia Bulldogs open the football season.
Brookings, S.D.-based Daktronics Inc. said in a statement the video display is about 36 feet high and 73 feet wide. Company officials say the video board can show single large images or be divided in multiple windows to display statistics, information graphics, animations, and live and recorded video. Sanford Stadium seats a capacity of 92,000.
Georgia opens its season Sept. 3 against Boise State in Atlanta. Its first game at Sanford Stadium is Sept. 10, when the Bulldogs host South Carolina.
