Wed Darsey Myers
Sarah Marlow (Darsey) Myers
Sarah Marlow Darsey and James David Myers were married Saturday, Sept. 29, at 5 o’clock in the afternoon at Bluff Creek. The Honorable C. Paul Rose officiated the double-ring ceremony on the bluff.
The bride is the daughter of Will and Carol Darsey of Colonels Island. She is the granddaughter of the late Carlin and Cleo Zipperer of Savannah, Ralph Darsey and the late Davis Darsey of Hinesville. The groom is the son of Ron and Debbie Myers of Rock Hill, S.C. He is the grandson of Len and Jane Starnes of Rock Hill and James and Vonita Myers of Philadelphia, Miss.
Crystal Twibel presented classical pre-nuptial music on the harp. The aisles were marked with baskets of white mums.
For her dress, the bride chose a strapless diamond white A-line gown with a satin bodice that was ornamented with romantic champagne lace appliqués. The sophisticated dropped waistline was accented with a ruched tulle band. The enchanting use of champagne lace was repeated on the waist and embellished the tulle skirt and illusion sweep train. She carried a bouquet of white roses, white Asiatic lilies, and white hydrangeas, surrounded with palmetto leaves.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Attending the bride were maid of honor Catherine Ann Patterson of Savannah and bridesmaids Meghan Ann Conlon of Roswell, Alexis Marie Georgeson of Atlanta, Whitney Anne Herrick of Asheville, N.C., Jennifer Ryon Long of Jesup, Trisha Lynn Myers, sister of the groom, of Charlotte, N.C., and Elaine Frederick Spencer of Athens. The bride’s attendants wore wine tea-length gowns made of silk taffeta. Each carried a bouquet of white roses and wine hypericum berries. The flower girl was Ansleigh Marie Wright, cousin of the bride, of Guyton. She wore a white organza and tulle floor length gown with a wine ribbon and bow.  She carried a basket of white rose petals.
Serving the groom were best man Michael Bryan Anderson of Rock Hill and groomsmen William Taylor Darsey, brother of the bride of Colonels Island, William Lee Faris of Rock Hill, James Robert Ferguson III of Rock Hill, Matthew Christian Hedrick of Fairfax, Va., Samir Hanher Patel of Atlanta, Joshua Michael O’Neill of Bluffton, S.C., and Steven James Shand of Charlotte, N.C.  The ringbearer was Evan Jacob Dolsak and the program attendant was Andrew Bailey Dolsak, cousins of the bride, of Gainesville, Fla.
A reception at the Bluff Creek Clubhouse followed. Entertainment was provided by The Fundamentals. For their wedding trip, the couple honeymooned in Los Cabos, Mexico.
