Jennifer Lee Wells and Spc. Nathan Pittman married May 21 in an outdoor ceremony at the home of the bride’s grandparents, Roscoe and Rose Wells.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Clint Brogdon.
The bride is the daughter of Robin Smiley and John Wells Sr. and the granddaughter of Margie Dingus and the late Bobby Smiley.
The groom is the son of Phillip and Mary Pittman of Franklin, N.C., and the grandson of Myra Waldroop and the late Bob Waldroop and Hattie Pittman and the late Oscar Pittman.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose Jennifer Hamilton as her maid of honor. The groom’s brother, Paul, was best man.
The newlyweds were honored with a reception following the ceremony.
The couple honeymooned in Franklin, N.C., prior to the groom returning to Iraq for his tour of duty.
