Hinesville ready for tree lighting, parade

The annual Hinesville for the Holidays begins tonight at 5 p.m. at Bradwell Park, with the tree lighting set for 7 p.m.

The annual holiday event also includes photos with Santa Claus for the kids, train rides, bounce houses, popcorn, hot cocoa and live music.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce’s annual illuminated Christmas Parade will take place Friday in Hinesville. This year’s theme is “Back to the ’80s.”

The illuminated parade it the 28th annual version of the event, which starts at 6:30 p.m. Road closures along the route will take place starting around 6 p.m. Parade lineup begins at 4 p.m.

Also, don’t forget the 35 Nights of Lights at the Gap Park along South Main Street.
