Anniversary: Websters celebrating diamond
Life Webster Anniv
Sara (King) and Arlie Webster were married Nov. 20, 1955 in Savannah.

Arlie Webster and Sara King were married on Nov. 20, 1955, in Savannah’s Church of the Nazarene. They marked their 60th anniversary last weekend.

They had three children, LaWanna Jean Webster, Gaillee Webster (Cook) and the late Arlie Leon Webster, who died in a wreck in November 2008.

They also have eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Websters lived on Middleground Road in Savannah until they sold out to a church. They moved to Isle of Wight in Midway in 2000, after retiring from their business, Chatham Computer and Pump Co., which provided equipment services to major oil companies for 33 years.

Now members of Midway First Baptist Church, Sarah Webster said they are happy living in Midway.

“God has blessed us in our 60 years with much love,” she said. “We enjoy our church family, children, grands and friends. It’s nice to be in Midway to enjoy the water, fishing, crabbing and the view out over the water is great.”
