Mr. and Mrs. Robert Darby are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Estelle Darby, to Richard Brian Houston, son of Terri Houston and the late Danny Houston of Tellico Plains, Tenn. 
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Bennett of Hinesville and Mrs. Mary Darby and the late J.C. Darby of Pensacola, Fla.
She is a graduate of Bradwell Institute, Georgia Southern University and Liberty University with a master's of business administration degree. She is employed at Passport Health Communications Inc. as a sales and marketing operations coordinator in Nashville. 
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Lawrence McClellan and the late Pansy McClellan of Tellico Plains and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Houston of Crossville, Tenn.
He is a graduate of Tellico Plains High School and the University of Tennessee, where he received a bachelor's of science degree in finance. He is employed by Caterpillar Financial as an accounting manager in Nashville.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 15, 2011, in Nashville, Tenn. The couple will honeymoon in Fiji and reside in Nashville.
