Derrick and Joy Duncan of Jesup announce the engagement of their daughter Amy Lauren Duncan to Hunter Michael Mixon, son of Mike and Tammy Mixon of Hinesville and Sandy and Keith Barnard of Claxton.
The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of the late Freddie and Sue Hires of Jesup and the paternal granddaughter of Marie Duncan and the late Wayne Duncan of Jesup.
The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Mary Dyer and the late Dan Moody and the paternal grandson of Theodessa Mixon and the late Jerry Mixon.
Amy Lauren Duncan is a 2010 graduate of Wayne County High School and currently is pursuing a nursing degree at Okefenokee Technical College.
Hunter Michael Mixon is a 2010 graduate of Liberty County High School. He currently is employed at Coastal Dock and Bulkhead Inc.
A wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Cooper’s Point in Shellman Bluff.
