Engaged: Godley, Darby to wed Oct. 25

Clay and Charlene Godley of Fleming announce the engagement of their son, Charles Grayson Godley of Watkinsville, to Margaret Alison Darby of Lawrenceville.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Carl Darby Jr. and June Darby, both of Augusta. Her paternal grandparents are Carl and Shirley Darby of Augusta. Her maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Grady Nessmith of Statesboro.

She is a 2003 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and received a Bachelor’s of Arts in speech communications from the University of Georgia in 2007. She is the inside sale account manager for AGCO Corp.

The future groom’s paternal grandparents are Sylvia G. Findley of Blue Ridge, Ga., and the late E.P. Grayson Godley Sr. of Savannah. His maternal grandparents are Margaret Beasley and the late Charles Beasley of Fleming.

He is a 2002 graduate of Liberty County High School and received a Bachelor’s of Science in agri-business from the University of Georgia in 2006. He is regional sales manager for independent sales in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic region for Central Garden and Pet Co.

They are planning a 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, wedding at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church in Augusta with the Rev. Dr. Mike Cash officiating.

The reception, immediately after the ceremony, will be at The Marbury Center in Augusta.

After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple plans to make their home in Watkinsville.
