The 2013 Miss Christmas Holiday Pageant recently was held at Faith Baptist Church in Ludowici.
The overall winners were Chezney Cassell, who won in the 6-younger division, and Alexis Snelling, who took the 7-older crown. Cassell also won the people’s choice and hospitality awards.
Taylor Smith won the Petite Miss crown, Karoline Davis took the pre-teen title, ShyAnne Kaltenbach won the miss division, and Mary Moses was the most-sponsored queen.
The event was organized by KIDZ-ETC. who provides local pageants to build self-esteem and character in girls. Proceeds from their pageants also go to a fund that awards scholarships to graduates in the area.
Audience members also were able to support the Wingman Motorcycle Club Toys for Tots drive. This year, admission to the pageant was dismissed for every person who donated a toy. Pageant coordinator Kelli Mock said that approximately 200 toys were collected.
“Thank you to Faith Baptist Church for letting us use the gym. Thanks to Town and Country for our decorations. Thanks to Karena Espey for doing the crowning. Thanks to our contestants, parents and sponsors, and a special thanks goes out to our judges Brandy Thomas and Brad Tootle and the Long County Wingman Club,” Mock said.
