Concerted Services names Long representative

Concerted Services has announced that Synita Doomes Mathis recently joined its executive board of directors as a representative of Long County.

Mathis was born in Ludowici and has lived there all of her life. She is the eldest of five children of Larry Doomes of Jesup and Cynthia Doomes of Ludowici. She is married to Charles Mathis Jr., and they have a daughter, Amaiah Mathis, and a son, Zykeon Mathis. They attend St. Paul Holiness First Baptist Church.  

Mathis attended Altamaha Technical College of Jesup, where she became a licensed practical nurse. She later attended South Georgia College in Douglas to become a registered nurse.

She has worked in various fields, including long-term care, charge nurse, psychiatric nursing, medicine-surgical nursing (hospital), school nursing, public-health nursing and currently as the nurse manager of the Tattnall County Board of Health.

Concerted Services is a nonprofit community-action agency serving 28 counties in Georgia.  CSI’s mission statement is to transform families and communities by providing opportunities and services that promote economic and social independence. In doing so, CSI offers an array of services including community care, community services, Early Head Start, Educational Talent Search, energy assistance, Head Start, nutrition program for the elderly and weatherization services.
