Renegade Classics will host the second annual poker run March 18 to support Horsin’ Around, a local non-profit therapeutic riding program.
The ride begins at Renegade Classics, a motorcycle shop at 822 Longwood Dr. in Richmond Hill at 9 a.m. Cyclists will stop at five checkpoints during the ride and draw one card from a deck of playing cards. The rider with the strongest poker hand at the end of the ride will win a monetary prize.
Horsin’ Around will use the proceeds from the poker run to send several of their riders to the Special Olympics again this summer.
“I have big visions for our riders and I know that we will get there,” said Karrie Henry, operations director for Horsin’ Around. “Renegade Classics put on a great poker run for us last summer to send one of our riders to the Special Olympics and we want to be able to send more riders this summer.”
Horsin’ Around is a volunteer-based program in Bloomingdale and provides activities and therapies to special needs children and adults in the Chatham, Effingham, Bryan, Liberty, and surrounding counties at no charge. For more information, visit www.horsinaround.org.
