The Village Children’s Learning Center celebrated Independence Day early on July 2 with its annual Independence Day Parade.
The yearly celebration began in 2000 when Learning Center owner Michael Terry thought the parade would be a great way to instill patriotism in the children while teaching them to appreciate freedom and our troops.
The Village invited parents, neighbors and friends to join in the march at 8:45 a.m. from the center to Highway 196, where participants took a water break before heading back to enjoy orange and watermelon slices.
