Day care kids show off patriotism
Learning center parade 019
Parade participants dressed in red, white and blue and marched from the center to Highway 196.
The Village Children’s Learning Center celebrated Independence Day early on July 2 with its annual Independence Day Parade.
The yearly celebration began in 2000 when Learning Center owner Michael Terry thought the parade would be a great way to instill patriotism in the children while teaching them to appreciate freedom and our troops.
The Village invited parents, neighbors and friends to join in the march at 8:45 a.m. from the center to Highway 196, where participants took a water break before heading back to enjoy orange and watermelon slices.
