Two women have started a drive to collect items that could help victims of flooding in South Carolina.

Tanya Pridgen and Sherry Satterfield are calling their group Citizens Caring for Others and working with Dorchester Funeral Home and Liberty County Coroner’s Office. They are soliciting water, food, can openers, paper plates and cups, plastic utensils, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, hand sanitizer, first aid kits, towelettes, flash lights, batteries, diapers and formula, sleeping bags and blankets.

Pridgen said she has made contacts in South Carolina and CCFO will see that items get to victims.

You can also make financial donations with checks payable to Salvation Army (write flood in memo section) and given to the group or mailed to P.O. Box 70579, North Charleston, SC 29415.

To contact either woman call 912-980-6714 for Pridgen or 912-572-4215 for Satterfield.
