"We have a direct connection to the world exposed to us only through the news," SNBC Pastor Eric Grissino said. "Our guests for the day, while raising a family in Turkey, have been led to this juncture in life where a coup could cause drastic changes including to their livelihood and physical well-being."

He said the service is formatted more about getting information on current events than about the speakers.

"Come listen and see if what the media reports is really as accurate as what a real person can account," he said.
