God depends on you to touch lives

Many feel that if anything is going to be accomplished for God, then God is going to have to get the job done.
The truth we miss is that in Scripture, history and personal experience, God has never worked a miracle or changed a life outside using his creation (humanity) to assist him. Is this saying that God is helpless outside human assistance? No, but God has chosen to work this way.
Just go through the Bible and check out all the times when God's miraculous power showed up, and see how he used people to be part of it. A few examples:
• When God parted the Red Sea and destroyed the Egyptian army, he used Moses to strike the water.
• When Jesus fed the 5,000, he used the boy with the fish and bread and also had the disciples distribute them.
A Scriptural reference to what I am talking about is found in 1 Corinthians 3:6, where Paul said, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it but God has been making it grow." We do need to understand that if anything dealing with God's kingdom is accomplished, it will be because God is involved. The truth we must not miss is that we must get involved as well.
God does want to be able to depend on you. So the big question is, are you dependable? Whose life does God want to touch through you?
