St. Philip's calls new pastor

The congregation of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Hinesville, has called the Rev. Denise Ronn, Ph.D., to serve as priest.

She began July 1.

Ronn served in the Air Force as a climatologist. Following her military service, she earned a bachelor’s in social sciences and later received a master’s in education and doctorate in human services.

Prior to coming to St. Philip’s, she served as vicar of St. Barnabas in Valdosta. Ronn is also active in the Diocese of Georgia, teaching in the leadership development programs.

She and her husband, David, who is retired from the Air Force, have two grown sons, Michael and Matthew. They are residing in the rectory on the Church grounds.

Her office hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon or by appointment. You can call her at the church at 912-876-2744 .
