I am convinced that the Bible is right, but somebody else is wrong. I cannot call right wrong and wrong right.  
I have been called and commissioned by God to preach and teach His word. Therefore, I am standing on the word of God. Every day, I am striving to be grounded and rooted in His word.
We have to understand that God’s word will not change. As children of God we have to live by his word. Jesus said in Matthew 4:4, after being tempted by the devil, that man should not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. We cannot do things because they feel good or seem right. We need to consider what God has to say about it.
We have many controversial issues today. Many have to do with traditional values and biblical principles. How do we decide these issues? As men and women of God, we need to look to what the Lord says.  It is not about what I think or how I feel. It’s about what the Lord says. If we say we are born-again believers in Christ, it is about standing on the word of God. We need to stand on the word of God regardless of the consequences.  
Standing on God’s word does not always make us popular. It is not always the easy thing to do, but it is the right thing to do. I would rather be in right standing with God than be an outcast. My relationship with God is far more important than what others might say or do. That is why I’m standing on God’s word. I am going to stand if I have to stand alone.
Matthew 24:35 says, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.”
Times and people may change, but God’s word will not change. I am going to stand on the word of God.
I want you to know that God loves you, and that also will not change. John 3:16 says, “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
He died for all of us, and He wants to have a relationship with us. However, He will not compromise His word. His word is His bond and the standard by which we must live.
We cannot satisfy the lust of our flesh nor do whatever makes us feel good and think that we can change what God says about it. We cannot allow the media to change our position on the word of God.
Proverbs 14:12 (NIV) says, “There is a pathway that seems right to a man, but in the end it’s a road to death.”
I choose to have life.
God will not force you to follow or live by His word; He gave us a right to choose. However, there are consequences for every choice we make. You cannot go wrong choosing God’s way. It is the will of God that we be of good health and prosper.  
It is his good pleasure to spend eternity with us. In fact, he has gone to prepare a place for us. If we want to be all that God wants us to be and spend eternity with Him, then we must choose to do things His way.  God rewards faithfulness. I choose to be faithful to his word. His word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my pathway. His word will not change, and I’m going to stand on His word.
