Lis Wiehl, a New York Times best-selling novelist, regular legal commentator on the Fox News Channel and radio show host, will  celebrate the release of her new legal thriller, “Snapshot,” with a talk, Q&A and book signing at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Telfair and Wright squares in Savannah.
The event will take place during the Savannah Book Festival. Wiehl will be one of 40 authors giving presentations at the festival this year.
“Snapshot” is a based on real events and a photograph snapped by the author’s FBI agent father at a civil-rights rally in 1965 in Texas. The photo shows two young girls, Lis and an African-American girl, playing and unaware of the racial tensions surrounding them.
Wiehl took this concept and wrote a book about  important events and people during the civil-rights era while drawing on her personal experiences as a former federal prosecutor and daughter of an FBI agent.
