Vicki Davis, director of the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, was the guest speaker at the Goldenheirs’ March meeting.
Davis discussed the plans the authority will sponsor this year. She emphasized the farmers market, which will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursdays from May 5-Oct. 27 in the park. She also talked about other events that will take place throughout the year.
The authority strives to create a revitalized and vibrant downtown that enhances the quality of life for the community, creating an attractive city center where all are welcome to gather and enjoy.
Goldenheirs is a senior group that meets for a covered-dish lunch and program at noon the first Tuesday of each month at First Baptist in Hinesville. Mike Hodges from the Emergency Management Agency will be the guest speaker at the next meeting Tuesday, April 5.
