The Goldenheirs’ June meeting featured Keep Liberty Beautiful Director Sara Swida and Kathy Poole of the recycling department.

Poole discussed all the things that are recycled in Hinesville and the location of recycling bins. She also showed examples of repurposed items.

One item of interest to the group was an antique chair that had a hole cut in the seat to hold a plant.

The next Goldenheirs meeting is at noon Tuesday, July 1, in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church, 220 E. Memorial Drive in Hinesville. The meeting will include a covered-dish luncheon.

All seniors are invited to attend.
