Blood drive Friday at hospital

The American Red Cross is in urgent need of Type O blood. Type O negative is the universal blood type because it can be transfused to any patient who needs blood regardless of their own blood type. It’s often used in emergency situations when every minute is critical.
Liberty Regional Medical Center will have a blood drive from 1-6 p.m. Friday in the hospital’s classrooms. Go to redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS to make an appointment.
