Flu shots offered to military, dependents

With the annual flu season right around the corner, officials with Winn Army Community Hospital are reminding military family members and retirees to get vaccinated.
Free flu shots will be available to retirees and military dependents over the age of 5 at three locations on Fort Stewart starting Saturday, including:
• Fort Stewart Main Post Exchange: Oct. 20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Oct. 23, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Oct. 30, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Fort Stewart Commissary: Nov. 1, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Winn Army Community Hospital’s Immunization Clinic starting Oct. 22: Mon., Wed., Fri., 8-11 a.m.; Tues., Thurs., 1-3 p.m.
Dependents and retirees must show a valid military ID card before receiving the flu shot. All ages below 5 years should report to the immunization clinic at Winn.
