There will be a free health fair from 7 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Ludowici City Hall, 469 N. Macon St.

Many health-related services will be offered, including blood-pressure checks, pulse readings, osteoporosis screenings, diabetic-risk assessments, blood-sugar checks and more. Medical personnel will review health evaluations and answer questions.

Participating vendors include Air Evac Lifeteam, Hospice of South Georgia, Genesis Home Health Equipment, Wayne Memorial Hospital Physical and Speech Therapy, Lifelink of Georgia, Georgia Extension Service and Jones Medical Equipment.

The event is sponsored by the Long County Health Center, which is an affiliate of Wayne Memorial Hospital, the city of Ludowici and the Long County Commission.
