The fifth annual Health and Wellness Fair took place on Saturday at the Riceboro Youth Center. Hosted by Project Reach GANG, a non-profit community youth outreach program, the fair provided resource information, health screenings, products and exercise activities for attendees to enjoy.
Lavonia LeCounte, organizer of the fair and GANG leader, said the health fair was to educate the community, and give information on how to eat right and exercise.
Vendor booths included the Liberty County Health Department, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Ardyss K. Bell products, Helen’s Haven Children’s Advocacy Center and Liberty County Head Start program. SNF Holding Co. was a sponsor for the event and provided free eye exams. Attendees evaluated their results and were informed on the importance of getting their eyes checked.
