The Rape Crisis Center recently announced it has scheduled a sexual-assault nurse-examiner training session March 22-25 in Savannah. It is provided by the Georgia Network to End Sexual Assault in conjunction with the Georgia Nurses Association.
Sexual assault nurse examiners are trained to perform exams on rape victims. They receive financial compensation for each exam.
The classroom training is 40 hours and costs $200, which is fully refundable upon completion of the course.
