West Rehab & Sports Medicine, a provider of physical therapy, sports medicine and wellness services in Southeast Georgia, recently announce physical therapists Erin Cantrell, Jen Emberton and Mike Parsons earned advanced-practice certification as orthopedic clinical specialists.
“We’re committed to providing only the highest quality of physical therapy services at West Rehab,” said Becky West, co-founder and owner of West Rehab & Sports Medicine. “Earning advanced OCS certification is a tremendous testament to our team’s dedication and devotion to their profession.”
The orthopedic clinical specialist certification is administered by the American Board of Physical Therapy Services, a division of the American Physical Therapy Association, and recognizes physical therapists with advanced clinical knowledge, experience and skills in orthopedic practice.
Certification is achieved through completion of a standardized application, an examination process and clearly demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge, competence and skills in the specialized practice area of orthopedics. Fewer than 10 percent of all physical therapists in the United States pass board certification in OCS.
