Liberty County’s Otis Amason will be showing and demonstrating his work at the Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show this weekend in Brunswrick.
The show is sponsored by the Golden Isles Gem and Mineral Society and will be in the Stellar Conference Center, 144 Venture Dr., off I-95’s exit 38. It is open noon-5 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Labor Day. Admission is $2.
Amason said he’s made jewelry and worked with similar crafts for more than 40 years. Besides showing his jewelry, he said he will be giving demonstrations on stringing semi-precious materials such and pearls and turquoise.
Other items on display and on sale will range from mineral specimens and gold to wire-wrapped crafts and beads.
