U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Sebastiano Marino of Hinesville was selected for promotion to the rank of senior master sergeant (E-8). Marino currently is stationed at Fort Meade, Md.
He is a broadcast instructor at the Defense Information School and has served on active duty for more than 16 years.
He is married to Luzviminda and has two children, Melody and Giovanni. He is the son of Peggy Jones and the stepson of retired Staff Sgt. Willie Jones of Hinesville.

Watkins graduates from basic

Navy Seaman Recruit Glenntis A. Watkins, son of Tricia D. Watkins of Ludowici and Robert Watkins of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
Watkins is a 2010 graduate of Long County High School in Ludowici.
