Pageant recruiting contestants until March 31

The Altamaha Southern Miss Pageant is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at Celebration Castle in Ludowici. The pageant’s theme is “Cinderella and Her Prince.” It is the preliminary to the Georgia Southern Miss State Scholarship Pageant.
Divisions are as follows: baby (0-23), teeny (2-3), tiny (4-6), little (7-9), junior (10-12), teen (13-16), miss (17-24), Mrs. (18 and older, married with children) and mother/daughter. Division winners in the baby through miss categories will win a crown, sash and have their entry fees paid for the state competition.
Optional divisions include: modeling, talent, swimwear, most photogenic, prettiest eyes, prettiest hair, prettiest smile, prettiest face, prettiest dress and prettiest walk. Optional division winners are eligible for the state scholarship pageant.
Winners will be crowned as division queens, people’s choice queen, ambassador-supreme queen and mini supreme queen. There will be no double crowning and all participants win participation tiaras.
Supreme and mini supreme queens win trophies, crowns, engraved glass slippers, monogrammed sashes, savings bonds and their entry fees for the state competition will be paid.
The people’s choice winner will be decided by monetary votes at $1 per vote. Fifty percent of the vote proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Program. People’s choice votes can be cast until the day of the pageant via Paypal. Send payment to altamahasouthernmiss@gmail.com.
The pageant also will include a king’s court for male contestants. Divisions include: baby Atlamaha castle king (0-24), tiny Altamaha castle king (2-4), petite Altamaha castle king (4-6), little Altamaha castle king (7-9), junior Altamaha castle king (10-12), teen Altamaha castle king (13-16), Mr. Altamaha castle king (17-24) and father and son runway walk.
Optional king’s court categories include most photogenic, talent, runway modeling (casual attire), royal smile and royal attire.
There will be one supreme king and he will win a trophy.
