Sorority helps fight Alzheimer's

The sisters of the Alpha Omicron chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa recently exceeded their fundraising goal for the Savannah Walk to End Alzheimer’s by 63 percent.  
The ADK Alpha Omicron team raised $1,628 for efforts to assist patients and caregivers.  
The Alzheimer’s Association is a focus for Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary association of women educators. The Alpha Omicron chapter learned about the local activities of the Association at the September chapter meeting, with a presentation by Deborah Heddendorf of the Savannah Alzheimer’s Association. Team members raised contributions that will be used locally for support and education for patients and their families.
ADK walkers included team captain Cindy Waldrop, Helen Barrett, Cindy Chandler, Amy Haborak, Donna Howell, Kristina Johnson, Kesha Lee, Shawna Matthews and Tracey Moyse.
