Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not know if they are true, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

I strongly suggest that Long County come out and clean the easement ditches on Whit Fraser Road. We had about eight inches of water build up and the road needs to be cleared of about six inches of sand. It’s getting to be a hazard.

Of the people that were alive in 1968 that had hair, how many of them have hair today?

You should never take your friends or your family for granted because, before you know it, they may not be there, not just in death but they may just decide they don’t want to be there.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. They thought they were riding on top, but now have fallen.

Well, I’m not going to give up on myself, but I’m going to give up on people who do not appreciate me.

I was in Kroger the other day, standing in line at the pharmacy, when a lady out of the blue handed an elderly lady a dollar to help her get the rest of her medicine. I thought it was so kind. People like that are like angels from Heaven.

I thought the rules in Sound off were no racial remarks, no name calling, no finger pointing, yet whoever commented on Georgia crackers, it can be published? That’s a racial remark and I don’t appreciate it.

Cheaters, do you know a cheating spouse? Do you think if all cheating spouses were reported that there would less?
