Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

I had a bad fall at the Hinesville post office this week. I want to thank the two kind ladies who helped me up. I didn’t get their names, but if they come May 14 to the oceans and beaches of the world booth at the Small World Festival in Hinesville, I’ll have a nice gift for them.

Please do your research. The Black Panthers were an activist group against police brutality. History is history, facts are facts. That is why it was called the black history program. If you are not in the schools educating our students, please keep your opinions to yourself.

I’d like to say great job to the Hinesville Police Department. I submitted a police report Monday for property stolen from me Sunday. I got a call Tuesday. They found our stuff in Myrtle Beach, S.C. That’s quick police work.

America, you’ve got to wake up. How come it’s not being printed about when President Obama went to Georgetown University, he had all the crosses covered up and pictures of Jesus before he’d go there and do anything? Put two and two together: Obama is not who he says he is.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting one of the top criminal lawyers out of Atlanta today. He was here in Hinesville. Bruce Harvey. That’s the only thing I want to let the people in Hinesville know — we have a lawyer.
